Where are my recipes stored?

In your own iCloud Drive, in iCloud Drive ▸ Kept ▸ Recipes, as plain-text Cooklang files. If iCloud is unavailable, Kept keeps them on your device and moves them to iCloud when it becomes available.

When can I generate recipes?

Recipe generation is coming this fall. Like recipe importing today, it will use Apple Intelligence, so it will require a device with Apple Intelligence enabled. These requests are handled by Apple — on your device where possible — under Apple's privacy commitments, and are never sent to us.

How do I get my recipes out of Kept?

They were never locked in. Open the Recipes folder in the Files app — every recipe is a .cook file you can copy, share, or edit with any text editor.
